  • Extends your Altion's warranty by a full year after the original manufacturer's warranty expires.

2. Engine Warranty Claim Support – The Real Protection:

  • This is where our Enhanced Warranty truly shines. We understand the concern about potential conflicts with your engine manufacturer's warranty.

  • If your engine manufacturer (see supported list below) denies a warranty claim for a covered engine repair solely because of the installation of your Revatek Altion, we step in.

  • We provide expert assistance in communicating with the manufacturer to attempt to resolve the claim denial.

  • If the denial is upheld, and is solely due to the Altion, we provide financial coverage for the repair, up to $15,000. This covers the reasonable cost of the repair using standard industry labor rates and parts pricing.

  • This warranty does not cover issues caused by improper installation, modifications, misuse, neglect, pre-existing conditions, or commercial use. See full terms for a complete list of exclusions.

  • The Altion attached alternator power draw must not exceed 15% of your engine's rated horsepower. It is your responsibility to ensure this limit is not exceeded.

  • Coverage is only for claims denied solely due to the Altion installation. Other reasons for denial (e.g., lack of maintenance) are not covered.

  • This warranty is non-transferable.

  • This warranty does not cover non-engine components.

  • This warranty is for vessels registered and primarily operated in the United States.

Revatek Enhanced Warranty

For Altion Installed on Supported Engines

1. Introduction

This document outlines the terms and conditions of your coverage, which provides additional protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty for your vehicle/vessel's engine and our Altion. This Enhanced Warranty consists of two primary components:

  • Extended Warranty: Extends the coverage period of the original manufacturer's warranty on the Altion.

  • Warranty Claim Support: Provides support and potential financial coverage in the event your engine manufacturer denies a warranty claim solely due to the installation of our Altion.

2. Coverage Period

  • Extended Warranty: The Extended Warranty begins on the date your original manufacturer's warranty on the Altion expires and continues for a period of one (1) year.

  • Warranty Claim Support: The Warranty Claim Support is valid for the duration of your vehicle/vessel's original engine manufacturer's warranty period.

3. Extended Warranty Coverage

Subject to the Exclusions listed in Section 6, the Extended Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the Altion purchased from Revatek or an authorized retailer. This coverage mirrors the terms and conditions of your original manufacturer's warranty on the Altion, including any limitations on coverage and remedies. Revatek will, at its option, repair or replace the defective Altion.

4. Warranty Claim Support Coverage

Subject to the Exclusions listed in Section 6 and the Claim Procedure in Section 7, if your vehicle/vessel's engine manufacturer denies a warranty claim for a covered repair to your engine solely because of the installation of a Revatek Altion, Revatek will:

  • Assist with Claim Resolution: Revatek will provide reasonable assistance in communicating with the engine manufacturer to attempt to resolve the claim denial.

  • Potential Financial Coverage: If the engine manufacturer's denial is upheld and the denial is based solely on the installation of our Altion, and all other conditions of this Enhanced Warranty are met, Revatek will cover the reasonable cost of the covered repair, up to a maximum of to $15,000 in aggregate for all claims under this program. "Reasonable cost" is defined as the cost of repair using standard industry labor rates and parts pricing for the specific repair that would have been covered by the original engine manufacturer's warranty, but for the installation of the Altion.

6. Exclusions

This Enhanced Warranty does not cover:

  • Improper Installation: Any damage or failure resulting from improper installation of the Altion, including failure to follow the provided installation instructions.

  • Unauthorized Modifications: Any damage or failure resulting from modifications to the Altion, the vehicle/vessel's engine, or related components.

  • Misuse or Abuse: Any damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, racing, operation outside of normal marine/RV use, or use outside of the specified operating conditions of the vehicle/vessel or the Altion.

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear of the Altion or the vehicle/vessel's engine.

  • Pre-existing Conditions: Any condition that existed prior to the installation of the Altion.

  • Consequential Damages: Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, or damage to other parts of the vehicle/vessel (except as specifically covered under the Warranty Claim Support section, subject to its limitations).

  • Other Causes: Any damage or failure caused by factors other than a defect in the Altion, including but not limited to accidents, collisions, fire, theft, vandalism, or acts of nature.

  • Lack of Maintenance: Failure to properly maintain the vehicle/vessel's engine according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Commercial Use: Use of the vehicle/vessel for commercial purposes (unless specifically agreed upon in writing with Revatek).

  • Vehicles/vessels Outside of The United States: Vehicles/vessels registered or primarily operated outside of The United States.

  • Claims Where Denial is Not Solely Due to Our Part: If the engine manufacturer's denial is based on any reason other than the sole installation of the Altion, this warranty does not apply. This includes, but is not limited to, denials based on lack of maintenance, other aftermarket parts, or pre-existing conditions.

  • Specific Components: This warranty does not cover non-engine components, including transmissions, drive shafts, and/or propellers.

  • Electrical Issues: This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

    • Reverse polarity connection.

    • Inadequate or faulty electrical connections.

    • Electrical surges or over-voltage conditions (except where directly and solely caused by a proven defect in the Altion).

    • Contact with liquids or corrosion (unless directly and solely caused by a proven defect in the Altion).

  • Labor Outside of Claim: Labor costs are only covered as part of a successful claim under the Warranty Claim Support, not for general fitting of the part.

  • Life Support Applications: The Altion is not intended for use in life support applications. Revatek does not recommend its use in such applications and will not be liable for any damages resulting from such use.

7. Claim Procedure (for Warranty Claim Support)

1.  Contact Revatek First: Before contacting the engine manufacturer or a repair shop, you must contact Revatek at support@revatek.com to report the potential warranty issue.

2.  Provide Documentation: You must provide us with:

  • A copy of your original purchase receipt for the Altion.

  • Proof of purchase of this Enhanced Warranty.

  • A copy of the engine manufacturer's written warranty denial, clearly stating that the denial is solely due to the installation of the Revatek Altion.

  • Any other documentation we reasonably request to assess the claim.

3.  Assessment: Revatek will review your claim and the engine manufacturer's denial. Revatek may require an independent inspection of the vehicle/vessel and/or the Altion by a qualified technician of Revatek's choosing.

4.  Resolution:

  • If Revatek determines the claim is covered under this Enhanced Warranty, Revatek will authorize the repair and cover the reasonable cost, up to the limits stated in Section 4. Revatek may choose to pay the repair shop directly.

  • If Revatek determines the claim is not covered, Revatek will provide you with a written explanation of the decision.

8. Claim Procedure (for Extended Warranty)

1. Contact Revatek at support@revatek.com to report the issue.

2. Provide proof of purchase of the Altion and this Enhanced Warranty.

3. We will provide instructions for returning the defective part for inspection and, if covered, repair or replacement.

9. Warranty on Repairs

Any repairs performed by Revatek under this Enhanced Warranty are warranted for a period of six (6) months from the date of repair, or the remainder of the original warranty period, whichever is longer. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship related to the repair.

10. Transferability

This Enhanced Warranty is Non-Transferable.

11. Governing Law

This Enhanced Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

12. Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between you and Revatek regarding the Enhanced Warranty and supersedes any prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.

13. Severability

IF ANY PART OF THIS WARRANTY IS FOUND TO BE UNENFORCEABLE, THE OTHER PARTS WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE.

14. Limitation of Implied Warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVATEK DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE SHORTER OF (A) THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY, OR (B) THE MINIMUM PERIOD REQUIRED BY LAW.

15. Consumer Law

This warranty gives specific legal rights, but it does not affect the rights of the consumer under any applicable consumer laws.
